it’s time to Stop Cruel Imports
Stand Up for our Standards: Email Steve Reed MP to Stop Cruel Imports Now
Help stop cruel eggs and pork from entering the UK
At this very moment, our progressive animal welfare laws are being undermined by cruel imports which can bypass our laws allowing the sale of animal products produced from conditions that would be illegal in the UK.
We’ve led the way in banning some of the cruelest practices like sow stalls, battery cages, fur farming, and foie gras production. Yet we continue to import products from animals raised using these very same banned methods.
In the U.S., mother pigs are locked in these crates for their entire pregnancies. After giving birth, they’re impregnated again—and the cycle repeats. We banned Sow Stalls in the UK in 1999.
The time has come to close this welfare gap. Please take action today.

If it's too cruel to produce in Britain,
then it’s too cruel to import into Britain
